Product Spotlight: HARVEST BEER BREAD

Who would believe that baking bread could be so easy? Simply add beer or a carbonated beverage (the bubbles in beer/carbonated beverage activates the yeast in the bread mix) to our HARVEST BEER BREAD or MULTIGRAIN WHEAT BEER BREAD. Freshly baked...savour the aroma!


HARVEST BEER BREAD is the perfect companion to any of SUNSET GOURMET'S soups and dips...but why stop there?

HARVEST BEER BREAD is so versatile; it can be used to make so many different kinds of delicious breads...for all the bread's listed below, you combine the beer bread mix with a carbonated beverage, mix in your choice of ingredients and top bread with 1/4 cup melted butter before baking.

~BANANA CHOCOLATE LOAF- use a can of ginger ale instead of beer, 2 mashed ripe bananas and 1/2 cup chocolate chips.

~STRAWBERRY BANANA LOAF- can of ginger ale, 1 cup fresh strawberries, 2 ripe bananas mashed.

~APPLE CINNAMON LOAF- can of ginger ale, 1/2 cup applesauce, 2 tsp ground cinnamon (you can also add raisins).

~FRUIT AND NUT LOAF- can of 7-Up, 1/2 cup dried fruit, 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

~WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA LOAF- can of ginger ale, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup macadamia nuts.


The possibilities are endless!!!

TOP ANY OF YOUR HOMEMADE BREADS WITH A WONDERFUL GLAZE:

1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup heavy cream
1-2 tbsp milk (depending on how thick or thin you want the glaze)

Pour glaze over warm bread.
